A week of new and old favourites...

Last week I went on a catch up with one of my uni friends I haven't seen in a while and ended on a little beauty spree for new products to try or just a top up of my old favourites...

Primark
First stop was Primark where I picked up a new makeup bag £3 absolute bargain it has so much space in it, also picked up some new hairbands for £3 which I also need for beauty school.

Lashes, Lips and Hair
I bought some new eyelashes for my night out Saturday so I thought I'd give the new Katy Perry Pop ones a try they have a little colour in them and ever better you get a cute little sticker in the packet when I popped them on the were slightly too long so I just trimmed them but the packet also suggests how to style them in other ways which is great. I picked up the new dry shampoo from Batiste as I'm always running out and the new graffiti can look so cool but I can't really tell if it has a new scent to it or not which I thought it would as that's many what I like in hair products. As i was in Boots spending a Christmas voucher I thought I'd pick up another lip butter by Nivea as they are amazing so thought I'd go with the Raspberry one which smells yummy!

Clarins Special Offer
Well it was time to pop into my favourite skincare brand as I was in need of some of the best makeup remover ever which removes nearly all heavy makeup in one sweep its that great especially when you are just off to bed after a night out and can't really be bothered. The lovely lady behind the counter didn't have to convince me too much to take the offer of buying another product and getting 4 other products of your choice (out of a selection of course)and a bag. So my 4 top products I chose:
Hand and Nail Cream which is lovely makes hands so soft and smells great too.
Blusher I have never really tried Clarins makeup but this is a lovely colour and full size can't go wrong.
Cleanser with Shea butter absolute lovely product again and smells delicious.
Hydrating Serum which is also great for my dry/sensitive skin really gives my skin a boost and used it yesterday after a night out and made my skin feel silky.
The Clarins bag is so big you can't fit so much in it.

I was also on a little accessory top up and ended up with four cute necklaces for £5 in total from Top shop and Republic.
Happy day shopping!!

Snow Angels

Well as most of us know the snow hit the UK last week and I could not wait to crack out my new moon boots which I got for Christmas and they are so warm I could not stop wearing them even at the end of the snow I wore them right to the end. But I thought I'd share with you some of the new beauties that I have been lovin during the cold, cosy days...

Aussie Dual Personality- I use Aussie shampoo and conditioner always love the smell of them and I switch now and again from volume to dry/damaged but I thought I would try the hairspray to put some bounce back into my hair and again absolutely lovely smell and tip your head upside down and you can put so much volume in to get big hair sorted!
MUA Nail products- Weekly trip into super drug/boots and I found these little babies on offer for £2 bargain. I have been lusting over Ciate caviar since I was on the waiting list when it came out but was always unsure whether it was worth spending on as wasn't sure if I would be any good doing it myself and plus I wasn't willing to pay extra for delivery online but MUA constellation has been just as good and it is really easy to put on plus no wasting... To be continued next week when I test them.
No7 Heated eyelash curler- I know this is a product that hands been around for a while, I also know of people and there DIY heated eyelash curlers by heating a normal pair of eyelash curlers with a hairdryer but it has ended in disaster by doing it so much you burn them off. Because of beauty school I am always getting my eyelashes tinted this means no makeup for 24hours so they are perfect for just having a natural curl to your lashes but one problem I found with No7 is there wasn't much instruction which is not always a great thing but it was a good price £9.99. Word of advice they are found in electrical in boots not eyelash section doh!!
Carmex- Always a great when its cold and you suffer from chapped lips!
SebaMed Anti-dry- I am always getting dry patches around my nose area and the snowy weather made this ten times worse. I received this in my glossy box and starting using it and I must say it does the trick perfectly making my skin lovely soft and glowing!

Beauty Filled Handbag

I don't know about anyone else but I know exactly what my handbag beauty essentials are... as soon as I am all ready to leave the house makeup is done I know what to chuck in the bag for top ups, smells, emergency products you name it. As my boyfriend and I live at each others houses currently we are backwards and forwards to each others places and when I need to pack a bag for the night I am always thrown with what I will need beauty wise. At Christmas I received two Soap & Glory gift packs which I now keep at one place and one at another so I am always stocked up with wash stuff, moisturiser, scrub it is but when it comes to packing my handbag ends up in a big mess and although I have lovely makeup bags to keep it altogether it never gets put in them...
I always carry my HD Brow Palette which I am in love with I use it every single day, A good mascara I use YSL Mascara or Mac False Lashes, I carry my Estee Lauder concealer and always, always a lipbalm my favourite is Nivea lipbutter but I love the smell of my Body Shop lipbalms, Handcream especially currently with the weather being so cold nothing worse than have cracked, dry hands but Handfood has been the best so far, otherwise my hairbrush and if going to my boyfriends house I always carry my leave-in conditioner smells amazing..!!

This is my makeup bag...I love it and take it everywhere with me if I am staying overnight as it can be a little big to carry in my handbag but I also use it for my wash stuff too! I have so many handy little travel size beauty products from my glossybox that I always fill it up with those. In my makeup/ washbag I carry a clear topcoat of nails inc as I am a beauty student I am not allowed to wear nail varnish often incase my clients are allergic to it but when I am not at college I put a clear coat on to stop my nails from becoming dry and horrible. I also use a dermalogica facial kit it is so handy for when I am away I start of with my Soap & Glory cleanser, I then Spritz over my face(tone) and then use the little moisturiser to finish.

What do you carry in your daily essentials?

Christmas Beauties

I heard of soap and glory before through magazines and also other bloggers but never really tried any products...
One of my christmas presents included a huge bag of soap and glory products which i must say i can try everything which is great so i dont have to spend on individual products only to find I dont like them this is not the case so far I must say. This morning I have tried the peaches and clean 4 in 1 wash off deep cleansing milk, at first I wasnt sure if i would react to it as I am quite sensitive on my face but as it smelt so good which is always the most attractive factor i could not resist! After popping it on and rubbing it in, the texture of it feels amazing, i then washed it off and my skin feels glowing! Perfect one of my christmas presents! Love spoilt brat me!

Beautiful Buy

Hi all, I really need to find time to keep updating my blog I have been awful...Beauty school has definetly been keeping me at work! But I thought i'd give a little combined update of what I have been doing at college and what I have been buying...

At college we are constantly using makeup remover for our facial treatments but with my super-sensitive skin I have a huge problem of reacting to fairly cheap makeup remover which is a pain for me having to splash out on the stuff! I usually buy Clarins makeup remover for home which is an absolute star buy it removes all heavy makeup and you never use too many cotton wool pads but for the amount of time I am at college I am starting to go through it a little too quickly. Solution for people with skin that does not react like mine is to use the college kit makeup remover but if it did not burn so much that would be the answer to my dreams.

Walking into Superdrug to have a look at the latest beauty deals or products to test I saw Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-up Remover on offer for £1.59 so I thought i'd give it a go and because it is an oil based remover I  also needed a non-oil remover especially for college due to tinting (which you can't use an oily product) which was £2 and I must say for my beauty training I am definetly going to be saving a few pennies which makes me a very happy girl! I have tried nearly all the cheaper sensitive brands Johnsons, Simple and nothing has worked always leading my eyes to cry a river and although Clarins will always be my best friend, I will be definetly be using Nivea as my makeup hero!!
